The other week I discovered a brilliant website called Brilliant. A bold name for a website, but in this instance, one that is very apt, as the site is simply an excellent resource for anyone who wishes to advance their knowledge and skills in the world of Science and Maths. Or, like me, someone who needs to revisit foundational scientific laws that were left behind on the shores of long-forgotten schooldays, so that I can reinforce my knowledge to wrestle with the perplexing advances in Science, without feeling immensely intimidated!
The website is packed full of interactive courses that utilise the quiz format to test the knowledge learned. Subjects range from ‘Algebra Fundamentals’ to ‘Introduction to Neural Networks’. You can engage with bite-size modules for those who need a quick knowledge fix or curriculum-based for a more structured learning pathway.
Be warned, as you advance through an endless offering of subjects, the learning experience becomes quite addictive i.e. you start to think like a scientist, a result!
